The bark in this product is sourced from slippery elm trees, which are native to North America and can grow to be over 200 years old. They’ve been used for centuries by Native Americans. We partner with suppliers who harvest the bark so the trees can grow back naturally, rather than stripping the bark, which can damage the trees and limit their longevity. Nature’s Way Slippery Elm Bark has traditionally been used to help soothe the gastrointestinal tract.*

How to Use

Started taking this for my throat during a rough winter and noticed a difference within about a week. I like that the bark comes from trees that can live over 200 years, it feels like a genuinely traditional ingredient rather than a fad. Two capsules with water and I'm set.

My mom swore by slippery elm tea for her stomach, so I finally tried this bark and it's now a staple in my kitchen. I like that it comes from trees that can live 200 years, which says a lot about how it's harvested. Two weeks in and my throat feels less scratchy in the mornings.

Daniel ★★★★★

I've been using this for occasional digestive upset and the bark is clearly high quality, finely ground with no gritty bits. Knowing it comes from trees that can live over 200 years old makes the centuries of traditional use feel a lot more legit to me.
